Committees

Membership – Responsible for seeking out new members of the Shul; speaking with individuals about the benefits of Shul membership.
Welcoming – Responsible for ensuring new community members are invited to the Shul; notified of Shul activities; receive a welcoming basket.
House – Responsible for ensuring the Shul building is properly maintained, including the indoors and outdoors; negotiating any contracts to maintain the Shul; ensuring the Shul has adequate cleaning and paper supplies.
Shabbos Kiddush – Consulting with the Rav to establish a listing of all Shabbosim in which it is appropriate for the Shul to have a Kiddush; maintaining a listing of dates of sponsored kiddush and seeking out sponsorships for Kiddushim. Coordinating a committee to help with the set up and clean up of Shabbos Kiddushes.
Special Farbrengens - Consulting with the Rav to establish a listing of all week day dates in which the Shul should have a frabrengen; seeking out sponsosrhips for these frabrengens; ordering the food for these Frabrengens and helping with the set up and clean up.
Building Fund Committee – Helping to raise restricted funds to pay the Shul’s monthly mortgage.
Special Fund Committee – Helping to raise restricted funds to pay expenses to maintain a full-time Rav in our community.
Tzedaka Committee – Raising and distributing funds to meet Yom Tov and emergency needs of members of Anash
Mikva Committee – Establish policies for the usage of the Mikva including hours of operation and costs; work together with the House committee to negotiate contracts for maintaining and cleaning the mikva.
Building Committee – Monitor capital renovations necessary for the Shul.
Children’s Committee – In consultation with the Rav, plan and carry out Shabbos activities for the boys and girls of the Shul; Work with the Shluchim of the Yeshiva to establish week day activities for the boys of the Shul; Work with the new Monsey Chabad Girl’s High School to establish week day activities for the girls in our community.
Special Events – Run the Shul’s annual major event
Shul N’Shei Tzemach Tzedek Liason – Establish a vibrant N’shei Chabad group for the Shul to promote programming for women and community service to enhance all of the Shul’s programs.
